Cherry Tree to discuss various concerns/problems.

6. FINANCE REPORT
The account balance was read out to Councillors and as usual all books
were on the table for any member of the public to read. a) The balance
of the ordinary account now stands at £7,048.81. The savings at £11,670.71. Money paid in is £8.16 in Interest on Current Account. Also £7,000 from West Dorset District Council as the second half of the precept. Clerk asked if Council wishes to transfer any money from the Current Account into the Savings Account. Cllr. Stansfield proposed £4,000 was transferred, Cllr. Gay seconded this.
b) Employers and Unions have agreed a rise for staff of 2.475% backdated to April 2007. The Clerk automatically gets this. However, it has come to the Clerk's attention hat her salaray should be reviewed each April also. If agreed by all then this would mean Clerk's salary would rise to £197 per month rather than £188 per month. Cllr. Stansfied proposed this change and Cllr. K. Hitt seconded this. This would also be backdated to April 2007 and reviewed each April.
c) The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk's wages (for past month plus backdated amounts) £251, Clerk's mileage claim as per paperwork tabled £51.20, Petty Cash £50 (Clerk has not requested any petty cash since November 2006), Renewal of Local Councils Update £65.
d) The Internal Audit has been done and was presented to each Councillor. Everything wa fine and in order. Cllr. Stansfield proposed this and Cllr. Bowditch seconded it.
e) The Precept request ash been received. Taking into account the budget for the next financial year there seems to be no reason to ask for more than we have done before. Cllr. Lathey proposed the same amount of £14,000 and Cllr. Wrighton seconded this.
