1. APOLOGIES

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
There were none.
3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of
the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the
minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed and dated.
4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
The ongoing problem of the trees at Longhayes Avenue was discussed.
Magna's solicitors had written to Mr & Mrs Tett giving them 21
days to cut the hedge back or they would take action under the High
Hedge Act. Since sending the letter Mr & Mrs Tett have contacting
magna asking for a meeting with them to discuss financial help. The
Parish Council feel very strongly that Magna should not help them
financially. Magna will keep us updated.
The owner of the Wessex Water van parking in front of the railing in Hospital
Lane had been approached by Cllr. Gay who had explained the implications
of this. The owner was more than happy to park elsewhere in futurel.
Clerk has informed Highways about the overgrown footpaths and blocked drains.
These have been added to their list of jobs.
With regards to the Recycling Team not putting the boxes and bags back correctly,
West Dorset District Council apologised for this. Agency staff have
been working for them but they have now employed new staff who will
take over at the end of October.
Bridport Police have visited Weller Scaffolding to warn them about driving too
fast through North Allington. If anyone sees them doing this again
they must note the registration number and report to the police immediately
& so the police can take action the same day.
5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Clerk was again asked to contact Andrew Dyke regarding the overgrown
footpath of Mead Lane as nothing had been done.
6. FINANCE REPORT
The account balance was read out to Councillors and
as usual all books were on the table for any member of the public to
read. a) The balance of the ordinary account now stands at £10,072.02.
The savings at £15,202.82. Money paid in is £3.54 in Interest on Current
Account. We have also received the second half of the Precept £7,000.
Councillors agreed they wished to transfer £4,000 into the savings account.

was authorised by the council: Clerk's wages (for past month) £202,
Clerks Mileage Claim as per paperwork tabled £31.60, Magna for room
rent £48, Mr Akhurst for half of allotment fee £6.50
c) External Audit was not discussed as it has not been received back
yet. d) We have received and S137 donation request from Axe Valley Ring
and Ride. Ity was agreed to donate £300 Proposer: Cllr. Bowditch,

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
1/D/08/001362 - Washingpool Farm - Erect Livestock Building - GRANTED
1/D/08/001622 - The Hermitage, Atrim Road - Erect single storey extension and
porch GRANTED
1/D/08/001470 - Offices and showroom at Pymore Mills - Erect brass advertisement
letters and lighting - WITHDRAWN
1/D/08/001522 - Old Hospital Field, Park Road (Adjoining) - Erect phone mast
Notification had been received that this application would be discussed
at the Development Control Committee with a recommendation for approval.
8. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA REFURBISHMENT
A final quote had been received from Wicksteed to match their existing
quote but this time to include security fencing and storage. Clerk only received
this a couple of days before the meeting so is now in process of putting together
all documents needed to apply for funding from West Dorset District Council.
9. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA REPORT
Mr McAllister said that the safety mats had been pulled up again so
he ahd stuck them back down. Otherwise all was fine
10. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA
Cllr. P. Bowditch said the play area itself was fine.
