Minutes of the meeting of Allington Parish Council held at Cherry Tree Communal Room, Bridport on 10 March 2009.

PRESENT:
Cllr. P. Lathey, Cllr. M. Wrighton, Cllr. D. Hitt, Cllr. K. Hitt, 3 members of the public. Miss A Hull recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES
Cllr. I. Gay, Cllr. P. Bowditch, Don McAllister (Cherry Tree Play Area Surperviso), District Councillor A. Alford.

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
Cllr. K Hitt and Cllr. D Hitt in item 6b as there is an invoice from their son.

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed and dated.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Mead Lane - Due to the weather it has not been possible to cut the hedge back. Due to the nesting season this can now not be undertaken until August.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
57 Cherry Tree - Lights were seen on. The Police and Magna attended the property and a member of the public advised them that West Dorset District Council were aware of problems with the property. Cars are parking badly in Allington Gardens and the entrance to Mead Fields. Again there are vehicles parking in front of the railing in Hospital Lane. Clerk to request a meeting with Highways with regards to various issues to discuss ideas/line painting etc. Boy racers noticed in Cherry Tree. If they are causing a nuisance then try and get their registration numbers and then pass to Clerk or Chairman who will inform the police. Pot holes in North Allington and also very bad ones outside The Oddfellows. Clerk to inform Highways.

6. FINANCE REPORT
The account balance was read out to Councillors and as usual all books were on the table for any member of the public to read. a) The balance of the ordinary account now stands at £3,587.37. The savings at £19,340.33. Money paid in is £0.42 in Interest on Current Account. b) The following cheques was authorised by the council: Clerk's wages (for past month) £207, cheque to Viking for stationery order £164.03, and a cheque for TMH Fencing for work done to the play area gate £43.70.

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
TP/09/00013 - Cedar Cottage, 3 West Mead - GRANTED
TP/09/00026 - 15 West Mead - GRANTED

8. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA REFURBISHMENT
Cllr. P. Lathey will be meeting Wicksteed on site on Thursday to discuss the siting of the various pieces of new equipment.

9. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA REPORT
Mr McAllister, although not present said all was fine. Cllr. P. Lathey commented that he had removed half a bottle of Sangria from the play area. 10. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA Cllr. P. Bowditch was not present.

11. CORRESPONDENCE
Various which were all available to read.

12. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The date of the next meeting is Tuesday 14 April 2009 which will also be the Parish Meeting. Meeting closed at 7.57pm
