3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed and dated.
4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Have received a reply letter from WDDC regarding the wheelie bins. Unfortunately there is no money for them at present.
5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Problem with retaining wall at back of properties in St Lukes Court connected with the pathway at the backs of the houses in Laurel Close. Clerk to liase directly with concerned resident to obtain details of owner of the problem area so resident can deal with this further.
Fencing in cul-de-sac at Cherry Tree - Caretaker should be dealing with the weeds this month and then dealing with the other issues brought to their attention vis Cllr P Lathey's meeting with Stuart Martindale from Magna.
Children knocking on elderly people's bungalows and running away. Cllr. P. Lathey to chat to PCSO Pete Smith.
Colfox Estate are now cutting back the hedges in Mead Lane.
6. FINANCE REPORT
The account balance was read out to Councillors and as usual all books were on the table for any member of the public to read.
a) The Current Account stands at £3,198.17 The savings account stands at £14,390.74. Money in is 37p in Interest on Current account as well as £1,820.28 in VAT reimbursement. Money out since last meeting is Clerk's wages for August at £212 and C N Richards grass cutting at £415.15 - for which retrospective agreement is sought for both: Proposer: Cllr. P. Bowditch and Seconder; Cllr I Gay.
b) The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk's wages (for past month) £212, Xcalibre Communications £55.19 and Petty Cash £50.
c) To agree budget for 2010/2011 - a proposed budget was circulated which shows costs already known and expected rises. This was agreed by all. It was felt that we would not need to ask for as much Precept when the time arose as we did not need to save as much for the Play Area as we have now refurnished that. This would also show the community that we can reduce the Precept as well as raise it. The budget was Proposed by Cllr. P. Lathey and Seconded by Cllr. I. Gay.
7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
1/D/09/001250 - 5 Lodge Lane, Bridport - Glazed Porch - Comments were needed before the meeting and it was felt there were no problems with this proposal.
1/D/09/000517 - Flaxhayes - GRANTED
1/D/09/000738 - Flaxhayes - WITHDRAWN
1/D/09/001362 - Washingpool Farm - GRANTED
1/D/09/001341 - 3 Threadmill Lane, Pymore (adjoining consultation) - Demolish wall, new single storey extension anf form pedestrian access - No objections
1/D/09/001329 - 26 Cherry Tree - Retrospective Planning Permission for new railing on top of retaining wall, drop kerb, retain porch and parking wall to the perimeter of the new parking area - No objections
TP/09/00273 - 32 West Mead,- No objections
3 POND END ENFORCEMENT NOTICE - a reply letter had been received from the Planning Dept arguing that they felt it was actually in the best interests of the tax payer to come down heavily on any people who go against the planning procedure. The Council all felt that this was still a waste of people's moey and time as the structures were temporary.
8. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA REPORT
Mr McAllister was not present.
9. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA
Cllr. P. Bowditch said all was fine although on 24th July someone had taken one of the goal nets. Cllr. Bowditch to speak to Gundry's about a replacement.
10. CORRESPONDENCE
Various which were all available to read.
