1. APOLOGIES

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
There were none.
3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed and dated.
4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Police/PCSO's will increase their patrols around Cherry Tree especially nearing dusk as they have been made aware of children causing problems.
Dog fouling still a problem everywhere. Everyone was reminded that they should be picking up after their dog and this also included Councillors.
Fence not replaced in Cherry Tree yet. Cllr. Lathey to speak to Stuart Martindale from Magna again.
5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Some children causing problems with regards to litter, bikes etc. As mentioned before, police patrols will be increased.
Verge alongside Hospital Lane is still appalling and overgrown. Parish Council cannot officially condone members of the public to cut the verge back themselves.
Path outside 26 Cherry Tree is still uneven and dangerous. Still awaiting Magna to sort this.
Children not using Woodland Trust Play Areas as much as they would like as scared to step out between the parked cars in Hospital Lane due to the speed of traffic. Clerk to speak to Dorset County Council and also Bridport Hospital.
Cllr. Lathey has been asked by Bridport Town Council for us to reconsider our views on the Lenthsman Scheme. Bridport Town Council would like to take this forward and are suggesting we could hire the Lengthsman at a rate of £25 per hour. All agreed that we were still not interested in doing this when the Lengthsman would be undertaking jobs that the District and County Council should be doing already.
6. FINANCE REPORT
The account balance was read out to Councillors and as usual all books were on the table for any member of the public to read.
a) The Current Account stands at £9,881.36 The savings account stands at £10,498.92. Money in is 28p in Interest on Current account
b) The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk's wages (for past month) £224, Clerks mileage as per paperwork tabled £40.80, Magna for room rent £48, Viking Direct for stationery £56.71, Local Councils Update subs £65.
c) The External Audit was presented to all and all councilllors agreed to accept it. The Issues Arising Report noted that the level of Fidelity Guarantee still was not high enough which the Clerk has now rectified.
d) The NJC has confirmed that the Local Government Employers and Trade Unions have agreed to the terms of the 2009 pay settlement which means the Clerk's wages will increase by £2 a month which is reflected in the backdated wages for the Clerk this month.
7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
1/D/09/001250 - 5 Lodge Lane, Bridport - GRANTED
1/D/09/001130 - 3 Pond End, Pymore - agricultural equipment store - comments were needed before the meeting and in light of what councillors have said about this before, there were no objections.
8. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA REPORT
Don reported that he is still finding rubbish in the play area including scrap metal.. Cllr. Lathey to speak to PCSO's.
9. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA
Cllr. P. Bowditch said that he had approached Edwards who had donated new football nets to replace the ones that had been stolen. Clerk to write to them to thank them.
10. CORRESPONDENCE
Various which were all available to read.
