Minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held at Cherry Tree Communal Room, Allington on 12 January 2010. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.

PRESENT:
Cllr. P. Lathey, Cllr. P. Bowditch, Cllr. I. Gay, 4 members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES
Cllr. M Wrighton, Cllr K Hitt, Cllr D. Hitt, Don McAllister, District Cllr. A Alford

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
Cllr. P. Lathey in correspondence item relating to Flaxhayes Paddock street names.

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed and dated.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Bus Shelter has been repaired by Cllr. I Gay. Drain at garages in Cherry Tree still blocked - Clerk has informed Magna again.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Lots of rubbish dumped near top garages by fence in Cherry Tree. Clerk to inform Magna. Clerk to also ask magna what is happening to the repair of garages at Cherry Tree as job not finished. The state of the garden at 28 Cherry Tree is now a health and safety issue. Clerk to inform Magna. Kissing gate corner of field to Coopers Wood really needs a style on Mead Lane end as motorbikes using it. Clerk to inform Woodland Trust.

6. FINANCE REPORT The account balance was read out to Councillors and as usual all books were on the table for any member of the public to read.
a) The Current Account stands at £8,720.86 The savings account stands at £10,503.78 Money in is 74p in Interest on Current account.
b) The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk's wages (for past month) £214, Clerks mileage for Oct - Jan as per paperwork tabled £26.40, Logomotion for website updates £235, C N Richards for grass cutting £359.95, S215 donation to St Saviours Church £315 (re-done as previous cheque written in the wrong name).

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
1/D/09/001813 - Colly Farm, Atrim Road, Dottery - GRANTED

8. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA REPORT Don not present but had spoken to Clerk and reported the following. Not being used much at the moment due to the bad weather, which was giving the grass a chance to recover and grow well.

9. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA Cllr. P. Bowditch said all was fine. Is being used, as is field which has been used for sledging in the snow.

10. CORRESPONDENCE
Various which were available to read including a letter from magna regarding the naming of the cul-de-sacs at the new Flaxhayes Paddock site. It was felt the suggested names were not appropriate and it should be open to public debate as well as put back to the Project Panel for their views.
