Minutes of the meeting of Allington Parish Council held at Cherry Tree Communal Room, Bridport on 12 July 2011.

PRESENT:
Cllr. Lathey, Cllr. M. Wrighton, Cllr. P. Bowditch, Cllr D Hitt, Cllr. Gay, Cllr. Coleman, Don McAllister, District Councillor Alford, 3 members of the public, Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
None

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
All agreed that these were a true record. The minutes therefore were signed and dated.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
34 Mead Fields - still very noisey and parties at night. Don said he woul dhave a chat with them as he knew them.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Member of the public had spoken to Lisa Derrighetti (WDDC) with regards to the empty house at 57 Cherry Tree. They had not been able to locate owner and didnt seem interested in following it up with regards to purchasing it. Clerk to chase. Craigs Taxis are parking in Hospital Lane and causing a nuisance late at night as they leave the engine running in the early hours of the morning and chat. This is causing a disturbance to neighbous and waking people up. Clerk to inform Taxi Licensing department at WDDC and also the PCSO's Camper van parkig next to junction at Mead Fields making it difficult for drivers trying to get out of junction. Council have been asked to put yellow lines on the road and this is still in their system to do. Allington Hill Open Day this Sunday - Cllr Wrighton will attend to officially hand over the cheque we have given to the Allington Hill Volunteers. The field next to Allington Hill, owned by the Colfox Estate, is covered in ragwort. This is their responsibility to remove under the 1959 Noxious Weed Act. The hill has been cleared of ragworth and it is a concern that if the ragwort in the field is not cleared then the seed will blow onto the the hill and seed. Clerk to contact Colfox Estate.

6. FINANCE REPORT
The account balance was read out to Councillors and as usual all books were on the table for any member of the public to read. a) The Current Account stands at £6,391.04 The savings account stands at £17,517.71 Money in is 79p in Interest on Current account
b) The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk's wages (for past month) £230, cheque for Allington Hill Volunteers £250

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
1/D/000778 - Higher Pymore Farm - Install solar pv panels on roof of existing agricultural building. Comments were needed on this prior to the meeting, no objections were raised.
1/D/000867 - Charm Cottage, 2 Seymour Farm - Orangery and home office extension. Convert integral garage into residential accommodation. New oak framed garage/store. Comments were needed on this prior to the meeting and it was felt that this would detract from an attractive building and would not enhance it in any way.

8. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA REPORT
Don had informed Clerk prior to meeting that graffiti had appeared on the rubber mats. Unfortunately we are not able to use solvent ot remove this as the rubber mats will be damaged. It was decided to leave it to let it wear off. It was suggested that it had been done by children from Court Orchard. The police had been informed.

9. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA
Cllr. P. Bowditch reported all was fine.

10. CORRESPONDENCE Various which were available to read. This included a letter from a resident of Cherry Tree with regards to the cobbled area in front of the garages being dug up by the children. Cllr Lathey will be speaking to Magna and will raise this issue.

The date of the next meeting was unknown at this point. Meeting closed at 7.45pm
